The splitter creates a modules symlink in the assemblies folder. It then separately duplicates the _images and _artifacts symlinks in the subfolders in asciidoc and converts them to actual folders in an _assets folder. See issue #55.
Desired behavior
In addition to the modules symlink, create _images and _artifacts symlinks in the assemblies folder exactly as shown in the target example. Ignore all symlinks in the source doc-content folder in the source, which are maintained manually and only for enterprise building in the source.
