home menu starting directly #70

Is there an existing issue for this?

What feature are you suggesting?

an addition to the project that would be really cool would be the possibility of starting the game directly from the home menu, I think it would be impeccable if it had that possibility

Why would this feature be useful?

It would be a unique gaming experience

I say release the home menu option when opening the application, it could be an option that you can activate in the theme for example

Unless I'm misunderstanding, I believe that this is something that Citra was already capable of. It required dumping all of the related data from a real 3DS. You can find videos related to it on YouTube

We can do this using the keys, but it doesn't open the app directly to the home menu

what you are suggesting would be a 100% firmware level emulation of the 3DS from what i understand, and i think we're not capable of that just yet

but you already do it perfectly well, my suggestion is to add this part when you click on the star, to start directly when you open the app, as if it were a 3ds app itself.Screenshot_20240410_214911_Lime3DS.jpg

Dunno if this helps but while the Home menu does work I've noticed that games launched via it do not use the Custom Texture option if selected.

"Would be a wonderful addition, I believe that such an option if implemented should be user choice, for example, in the settings part the user decides if they want to enter the application directly through the home menu, or directly through the standard home, in a way that the options are accessible using the home menu when we access the settings in the corner of the screen, so users who only use normal ROMs would use the default option, and users who want the most immersive option possible would use this way, because even the games need to be .cia for the mode with home menu so it's a more advanced option, so it would be cool for the user to decide how the app will start through a setting, which would be nice to put even on the same screen with a switch for example start the app by the home menu, and next time it starts right there!
