Hello,
So since login with CC isn't working on wine you can't use your account... But if you already own Photoshop at least in my country it isn't a legal issue.
I see that you can't launch it because you launch it from the wine folder.
It creates a desktop entry so you don't need to use the terminal or anything like that. But if you don't want to use it there is launcher.sh in "~/.WineApps/Adobe-Photoshop/launcher.sh
And you should be able to launch if from here.
There's no desktop entry for me. And I can't find "~/.WineApps/Adobe-Photoshop/launcher.sh"
I'm not an advanced user so it's possible I'm missing something obvious. But the installation did finish properly as far as I could tell and I did install all the requirements before installation.
Weird then...
Did you install it with root ? Cause you don't have to.
Did you try uninstalling and installing again ?
Maybe you can't find this folder because you're looking in your home folder without having hidden folder on.
If nothing... Just give me some logs and info about your distro and hardware so I'll try to figure it out
I reinstalled and found the entry in the "start menu" or whatever call it in Linux. It tries to launch but then nothing happens. I can see an instance of Photoshop in my task bar for a while saying Starting Photoshop CC... but then it just disappears.
I'll just probably opt for something less unpredictable anyway. Like just dualbooting or using another software. Maybe I'll check if running PS on Linux gets easier at some point but for now I don't have the patience.
Well up to you. but if you want I can check what's wrong if you launch the launcher.sh in a terminal so you can see the logs. Maybe you're not the only one with this issue so it could help other people.
If you need alternatives, Gimp is a great one. and you can use photogimp to make it look more like photoshop.
Hey!
I just installed this but there's no info on how to use it. I tried "wine photoshop" and it gave this:
I'm also wondering if there could be any legal issues with using this. Can I login with my PSCC credentials and be ok or could they detect I'm using it through wine?
