Just curious when the Android 7x device tree will be released. This document says the release is planned but has no date.

Thanks in advance for your answer and thank you immensely for the u-boot and kernel releases.

Hello Matt;

Our next major delivery should have support for AOSP and a 4.9 Android Common Kernel. We'll have more details in mid June for a release date.

As we have more info, we will be posting on the Poplar 96Boards.org forums

Thanks;

It is well past June and I have not seen any mention of Android for poplar in the forums. Any updates on this? Does it really take 6 moths between each update for this board while the Hikey is updated daily seems like for Android....

Hello Matt;

To be honest, there have been interesting technical battles with getting a 4.9 kernel and Android N & then Android O running. With these now resolved, we are working thru licensing(legal) issues. These are taking time with multiple companies involved. During this time, we've been working on UEFI support, Fasboot over USB, OP-TEE, USB2/3 support, PCIe, GPIO, FB and hardware updates. Much of this is available in the GitHub kernel for Linux.

When i have more details, i can provide an update.

Thanks; Glen

Thanks for the informative update Glen. I look forward to the Android release. I hope the legal licensing moves quickly.
