CarPlay doest't connect #80

I have jailbroken with fugu and unc0ver, last this I have been testing and everything seemed in order except when I have ridden in my car and carplay does not connect. I have rebooted the device without re-jailbreaking and carplay works. Upon re-jailbreaking Carplay no longer finishes connecting. On the device appears as connected but the image does not get to transfer or sound or anything. I guess it's a bug.

The issue is now resolved with uncover7.0.1 Just install the latest version of altstore & follow the instruction on screen, it will update your fugu14 & uncover. PS: you will have to restore your FS at the upgrade so backup/snapshot your tweaks if needed.

When upgrading to the latest version of Unc0ver(7.0.1). I still have the issue that Apple CarPlay doesn’t work except if I reboot my device in an “unjailbroken” state.

Here is the steps which made it works for me:

  1. restart your device to be only fugu14 jealbroken.
  2. remove old unc0ver & altstore and install the new version.
  3. from new altstore install unc0ver7.0.1 & it will take you to the steps to install fugu14 again.
  4. after fugu14 is install restore FS from it than launch it again & install Untetherd (DO NOT UPDATE UNTETHERD HERE).
  5. lunch altstore to install unc0ver than launch unc0ver7.0.1 once install & jealbreak your device.
  6. launch Cydia and upgrade all.
  7. CarPlay should works now.

Still no dice over here & did about an hour of troubleshooting & found the below...

Wireless CarPlay DEFINITELY has problems & my gut is leaning towards a Bluetooth issue, as when I'd un-pair my device from headunit & then try to re-pair, I'd get these 1/2 second blips of Bluetooth pairing requests that I certainly couldn't click on quick enough to get to sync. It would do it 3x times & then fail pairing.

I also tried turning off wireless CarPlay & using a cable (meh) & at one point I was able to get CarPlay to launch, BUT....when trying to play audio, nada. Likely because Bluetooth would not connect on cabled mode.

So, in all, there are definitely some issues still here, even after trying the above advice, un-pairing, re-pairing(was only able to once with cable, never with wireless), trying WiFi Private Address, Trying Low Data Mode, etc., etc., etc....

Again, my gut it telling me that it is a Bluetooth issue, as I believe even with Wired CarPlay, I believe you require a BT connection, so for now have to leave myself unjailbroken in order to use CarPlay, either way.

I think the same, it happens to me with the Wireless Carplay, I have not tried with the cable but I'm sure it fails too. In my case the failure is at the end of the Bluetooth pairing. It appears to me as connected and I even see the coverage on the screen of my BMW but I do not see CARPLAY on it. I have written to several unc0ver developers and to Linus, but I don't get any answer.

Same. iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 14.5, latest fugu14 and unc0ver 7.0.2 can’t connect to VW CarPlay.

I have tried contacting everyone in the Jailbreak world and no one answers. I don't know what else to do to be able to Jailbreak with Carplay.

It is working for me with cable, not sure about wireless CarPlay. I am using iPhone 11 Pro Max iOS 14.5.1,,, sometimes it fails but after re-plugin the cable it always works. Btw I have CarBridge installed, but I don't think it makes any different tbh.

It is working for me with cable, not sure about wireless CarPlay. I am using iPhone 11 Pro Max iOS 14.5.1,,, sometimes it fails but after re-plugin the cable it always works. Btw I have CarBridge installed, but I don't think it makes any different tbh.

I’ve tried with a cable and also with carbridge and haven’t had any luck whatsoever. The only thing that works is rebooting to an unjailbroken state.

Yes i think is a unv0ver error but i dont have idea.. And unc0ver don't have a github or official issue post lol

Unfortunately the developer don't read this issue or can't help… I tried all contact methods..

同样的问题，连接不上无线carplay,重启以后在未越狱状态秒连，但越狱后就连接不上了，但是可以看到屏幕有连接，也是绿灯，但就是投不到屏幕上。

Google Translate: “ The same problem is that the wireless carplay cannot be connected. After restarting, it will be connected in a non-jailbroken state, but it will not be connected after being jailbroken. However, you can see that the screen is connected and the green light is also green, but the screen cannot be cast.”

Yeah, pretty much confirms same as I’ve detected…there are some issues with Bluetooth on this jailbreak, as CarPlay utilizes either cable + BT or WiFi + BT on wireless CarPlay. Neither works, as the BT connection won’t stay connected. Hopefully someone is actually working on the issue…

Any progress on this issue? Seems widespread & no feedback from dev(s) on any form of ETA…

Really was psyched to finally have an iPhone 12 jailbreak to use CarBridge with, but now just have to reset my phone every time I get into the car. :-(

Check for any form of update(s) daily, but nothing since 7.0.2…not sure if just should give up at this point or if devs are working on a new update?

Same here. I'm sure they know about it and hopefully they are working on fixing along with any other bugs. I was really looking forward to using CarBridge. The FuGu/Unc0ver has been stable for me, but I do have some irritating bugs that I hope they will address soon.
