Maintain split workspaces in saved layouts #494

The split workspace functionality is a great boon and I have just discovered
the layouts functionality as well. If the split workspace is currently
activated then it will stay activated no matter what layout you choose. I was
somewhat dismayed though that you could not save a layout with a split
workspace vertically.

Having this functionality would mean there really would be two ways to split
your work area one via the VIEW >> SPLIT WORKSPACE submenu or by activating a
layout that has a split workspace.

If you did have the split workspace saved into a layout initially the secondary
workspace would be empty.

If you switched out of a layout with split workspace with a module you would
have keep in open in the new layout. If the new layout had a split workspace
you would match the workspaces with the appropriate documents.[sorry that is a
little confusing.]

thanks for listening
