Hi, i have the same issue, have you managed to remove it?
@rockmanvnx6 - I had to do a fresh install. I think there is a way to modify your apt sources and change your OS 'back' to Ubuntu but I thought I'd just wipe it to save the headache.
@kneeki It sounds terrible, do you know what the root of the problem is. I really don't want to reinstall my OS.
Run
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove classicmenu-indicator
Run
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove classicmenu-indicator

I'd like to clean-up my classic menu after choosing to install both the Kali menu and the classic menu. See screenshot for an example of my whoops.
