Fresh setup fails after recent commit

How to reproduce:

• clone repo
• cd into it
• run nix develop
• it fails with liqwid-script-export#devShells.x86_64-darwin.default'Assertion failed: (stmt.stmt), function Use, file src/libstore/sqlite.cc, line 107.
• repeat git log -> git checkout previous commit
• EDIT fails, until fd8bd015741137ad206c8c8bbca0428da5a13504 is reached, which works
• EDIT strangely, walking forwards in time again works until 976f3b2e0faf241f73e861bf6f52fb8f17c7b1ca is reached, at which point it fails again.

I'm using

• nix-2.12.0
• The Glorious Glasgow Haskell Compilation System, version 9.2.5
• version 3.6.3.0 of the Cabal library
• macos Monterey version 12.3.1 (which I suspect to cause the issue - EDIT: fails as well on a fresh nixos docker with evaluating derivation 'git+file:///liqwid-script-export#devShells.x86_64-linux.default'nix: src/libstore/sqlite.cc:107: nix::SQLiteStmt::Use::Use(nix::SQLiteStmt&): Assertion `stmt.stmt' failed. Aborted)

Strangely enough it seems to be working in more recent commits when "walking back forwards in time" again after arriving at fd8bd015741137ad206c8c8bbca0428da5a13504 (which, when walking backwards, was the first one that worked).
