Haven OnDemand down #2

Is not related with the library, but apparently the service is just down.

True, all services (including their status page) are down.

Same to me.

Just a wild guess: it seems they decided to shut down everything silently. Its rather strange, because they claimed to have "thousands of users" and I believe quite a big number of those are paying for the service.

So HPE have said in a Twitter reply, that they sold Haven OnDemand to Micro Focus in 2016, and therefore can't give any further support.

I've not yet been able to find out weather MicroFocus are going to be continuing support for Haven OnDemand.

I've contacted MicroFocus for any updates regarding HoD situation here in Twitter. Hopefully, this will shed some light on the case

So, it is what it is - they silently dropped support for HoD without any prior notice and I have biiiig doubts regarding possibility to use their IDOL for free. But let's keep digging :)

I looked through the list at https://www.microfocus.com/en-us/free-trial for some of the HavenOnDemand APIs (specifically for speech-to-text transcription), but could nothing that resembles anything that I used on www.havenondemand.com. Has anybody found something elsewhere?

@florianschiel - probably best to scrap Haven all together, it's not kept up with the times, and also no longer has a free tier. I use GCP, it's quality, stable and cheap. Check out their speech to text here: https://cloud.google.com/speech-to-text/
