How to find the server

How do you find the ip? Someone told me it was 116.203.235.39 which is in germany, but when I try default port it doesn't work, is it on another port?

Just try to reconnect some more, eventually, it will work.

Still got the ordinary "connection refused" error message. The server ip must have changed.

He tried to make the server harder to find but my scanner noticed he was on the server when it was being set up.

mat is very well known in the liveoverflow community for being very skilled with server scanning, and he has proven many times that he found the new server before anyone else. the ip he provided is real, and has been confirmed by many members of the community

and also even a pro can make mistakes sometimes. I will definitely not trust this one without any proof. Just saying "I saw him online while he was setting it up" does not proof anything. There are too many things standing against that. (Different nmap, different mc version, different spawn area, no protection for the club mate fountain etc.)

I am an actual server member and have been there since the beginning. I also created one of the biggest discord communities regarding the server and can confirm that the IP is correct. Matt is also a very trusted member of the community and a very skilled person. I go by IGN PurpleGround and you can ask people like @Shrecknt who can confirm that I'm not capping. :)

Edit: I'm not going to leak the IP or give it to someone, I want to clear that out because I'm getting a lot of DMs asking for the ip, I just give instructions on how to do it, and I provide a scan, but you need to format it and search in that list by yourself, I do this for 2 reasons, 1 to not spam Heztner servers with scans and 2 Because some people can't scan, I'm sorry for the misscomunication.

Maybe don't send random people the IP? if you plan on leaking it might as well post it publicly :/

I talked to the guy and his friends and they said they arent gonna leak the IP. Seems like they are downloading copenheimer in their groupchat or sm lol

Fake IPs are harmless pranks, leaking info about the real one ruins people's experience.

Great and now you say it again. If it was removed, someone clearly doesn't want you to say it. Giving any info about the IP or server tremendously helps finding it, especially the info you gave

Finding it in the videos is unintentional, LiveOverflow doesn't mean to show it. Scanning is the "intended solution" for finding the server to my knowledge.

No because that's how you are supposed to find the IP! That is the whole point of the server and also why the server's IP has changed as it keeps being leaked in videos or just passed around from 1 person to another.

You have 2 options man.

1: Wait for leaks which will likely happen eventually.

2: Scan

Your choice. #2 is intended, and #1 is less interesting and will make you the odd incompetent man out on the server. But if you want to be the incompetent one in a server of coders, you can definitely make that happen.

My point is, if you can't do 2, you shouldn't join the server at all. You wouldn't fit in with the community.

The server shut down and that IP seems to have been taken by someone else. I updated my comment to reflect this fact.

Lmao I spent the last couple of hours scanning hetzner for the server, and I (think) found it but it's full. Apparently according to google there is some proxy that needs to be found? I don't think it's in my list. I'll have to search the ones that aren't Hetzner Online GmbH next? Does anybody know if the proxy is also on Hetzner?

The server is not full all the time because someone leaked it. @ABUCKY0 is absolutely correct, it is full because of the proxy and no other reason. In fact it is quite the opposite. The server is usually entirely empty aside from bots.

Edit: just checked, the server currently has 0 real players online, and is entirely filled by bots.

So I scanned through the entire Hetzner IP thing, but I'm having trouble distinguishing what is other servers and what one is the proxy, or if it is even in the list I have made. With 5,774 entries I don't even know where to start, or if I even have it.

My python scanning script went through all 2353664 ips from the website suggested in a reddit post on the LiveOverflow subreddit in about 56 minutes.
