Livesplit not loading or showing on taskmgr #2117

When I look at eventvwr, there are a couple of errors relating to livesplit. The first one being

I have no idea what kernelbase.dll is and how to fix it

Also, I found another error, if it helps;

Application: LiveSplit.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.IO.FileNotFoundException at LiveSplit.Program.Main(System.String[])

Does this issue persist in the most recent stable version of LiveSplit?
