Global hotkeys no longer working after newest Win10 update #762

So a month ago I installed the base Windows 10 version, grabbed LiveSplit, and all was fantastic. I set the split to the select key on my Xbone controller and anywhere I pressed it, it took the split. Perfect.

Recently, I updated Win10 to the newest version, the creators edition I think it's called. Now, Livesplit will only accept the pressed key if it has focus. Friends are having the same problems. It doesn't matter what hotkey is assigned. Unless LS has focus, it will no longer work.

I have only tested this with Nes emulators such as Nestopia, which it used to work great in. Others have this problem streaming straight off console, so it doesn't seem to be an emulator issue. Is there some sort of workaround? Or maybe a patch or update for LS that can be rolled out? Would be very appreciative for any response or solution to this problem. Thanks!

Thought I would mention, I tried using the Focused Hotkeys component to make Nestopia, Snes9x, FCEUX, and other emu's work when they had focus. Even with that enabled, it still isn't wanting to work. Seems that it is only working when LS has complete focus.

A friend suggested the Focused Hotkeys component because it was how they fixed their LS issue. However several others who tried it have been unsuccessful as well. All friends who are experiencing the issue, said it began after their Win10 update to the newest version.
