Aren't F-Droid repos supposed to be building from source? I'm not sure how the GitHub release assets are related.
Nope. There are F-Droid SOURCE-BASED repos (e.g. F-Droid.org, Guardian) which do that, yes – but there are also simple binary repos (like mine, where your app is listed). My updater just picks the APKs provided by the developers; I'm no Android dev myself, I have no build environment, so I cannot build. I just help spreading, and making the apps available in easy reach of the users
So any chance, @arkon?
Probably not going to bother, the aab artifacts are more for my own benefit to deal with the Play Store than actually distributing it. I'd rather not slow down the release processes by having to build it twice.
So you don't plan to provide APKs anymore? Then I'll have to mark your app deprecated as it can no longer be updated. Sad, but I'll of course accept your decision.
As there are still no APKs, I have now removed the app from my repo. No use to carry an outdated version (which thanks to YT permanently tinkering with their APIs probably doesn't even work anymore).
Could you please continue providing the APK files at the release tags? Not everyone can easily deal with AABs  For example, F-Droid repos can't, so your app is outdated here. Thanks in advance!
