Disabling the option prevents inputs from being passed, it doesn't do anything more than that.
Uninstall vigembus if you don't want a virtual gamepad.

I use ViGEmBus for other purposes, uninstalling it is not desirable.
I just noticed the discussion section, and the feature request category, should I close this and put in a feature request to optionally ignore ViGEmBus?
Yes, this probably would work better as a feature request since the current code is working as expected.

Describe the Bug
Stream Desktop from host PC to Client, launch Cyberpunk 2077 GOG Version patch 2.0, gamepad is detected.
Expected Behavior
I expect no gamepad to be detected.
Additional Context
If I go to my host PC and quit Sunshine entirely the phantom gamepad gets disconnected from CP2077(prompt in-game notifies me) all is back to normal(I see only keyboard+mouse controls and icons on host PC). Main reason I noticed this is I stream often with KB+M only to my Linux PCs and CP2077 would only show gamepad controls(no gamepad connected, wireless or wired, host or client), as well as a strange mix of PS and XBOX icons in-game, very strange. I launched the GOG version of Trine 5, no gamepad detected as expected.
