Steam on Ubuntu LTS22.04: Unable to find executable [steam]. Is it in your PATH?

Describe the Bug

Sunshine is unable to find the steam command in order to launch steam:

[2024:06:28:20:27:58]: Warning: Couldn't spawn [steam steam://open/gamepadui]: System: No such file or directory

Running steam steam://open/gamepadui directly from the command line works. The location of the steam command is also present in the $PATH variable:


matthias@pop-os:/$ which steam
/usr/games/steam
matthias@pop-os:/$ echo $PATH
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/snap/bin

Manually specifying the location gives a similar issue:

Both Steam and Sunshine were installed using the POP!_Shop. However, Steam was installed as DEB rather than Flatpack.
