Hi.

Just wondering why your amazing plugin is no longer available. I just factory reset my Steam Deck and can't find the plugin. Can you release it as a ZIP so that I can install it from Decky Loader Developer tab?

Hey Kev,

I'm sorry to say that, at this time the plugin is discontinued. The Plugin sadly broke a few months ago and since then I hadn't had the time nor the motivation to fix it. I might someday pick it up again and submit it to the store, but as of right now there are no plans for that.

However, I will try to fix and re-release the Plugin as a Zip so that anyone can download it if they choose to do so. As I am currently occupied with life, I sadly also do not have an ETA on that either, but it will happen sooner rather than later!

That's sad. That was the most important Plug-In for me. I think I read that maybe SteamOS 3.5 fix this problem too.

Hope you do well with live! And hopefully you have time one day, if Valve doesn't fix it, that you can update it :).

BTW: What does your Plug-In do exactly and more important, can we do that manually?

Hey! I really appreciate the kind words, thank you! I tried to find anything related to that in the patch notes, but I only found something about localization. Unfortunately, that doesn't necessarily mean, that other keyboard layouts will be implemented into gaming mode. But hopefully I'm wrong, I would really love to see this finally happening.

As to how my plugin works and if there is a manual way to do what my plugin does: There is! Please refer to this

If you need any help regarding changing to your desired keyboard layout, please reach out :) And please be careful, because changing the XKB_DEFAULT_VARIANT to an invalid language variable will result in a bootloop.

If you are having trouble with that please refer to this or reach out and I will do my best to help you.

I unfortunately cannot report any updates regarding picking up development on the plugin again. If anyone is interested the files are right here, do with them as you like but please make sure to credit @KS-HTK who found the bypass in the fist place.

Hello! Firstly thank you for working on the plugin in the first place! So, about that workaround. I don't quite understand what to do or how that works. I need to add english as my main language and russian as secondary, what do I do? And how do I change the layout in gaming mode after I'm done with step one? Big awesome thanks in advance!
