I removed the note about the water because you don't have the player do that
quest,
and it looks like a useless quest in the first place, certainly something we
don't
need to be telling the user to do. Just buy crappy food if you're o melee
class,
it's not any different price than water is.
You should never need to tell the player what level to be. We're aiming for
yellow
quests here, not red ones.
New stuff's staged, will probably push it into master soon, since my net's on
the
fritz and I can't play or otherwise distract myself online.

Yes I realize you don’t need to pick up Red Quest you should only do quest
that are
you level. Not trying to do that just trying to prevent running around just
because
you are short a little experience.
Exp running to a zone where you’ll be questing and on the way you could have
picked
up a quest that will be in same area that you could do and if your not leveled
to
pickup the quest would have to run all the way back to pick it up just to run
back
the zone where you were just questing, you know what I mean! I use |LV|9| in
the
resent TG to do this it self finishes. hopes it ok like this let me know.
As for the Water quest I left it in because at this level it’s cheaper to
cash in
water at quest giver “water for apple” for melee class then buying food.
Now I know
you are targeting people with new Altz. And they may have sent Gold to their
new
Character and this makes this quest mute.

Ok small improvements to files
Add rouge quest
Soloed and tested with both Warrior and Rogue
I have small Question about H hearthing to self-complete
When I set the line like: H Goldshire “it wont self-complete until I
run out
of Inn and the zone becomes Goldshire” so if the next quest to pick up is in
the
Inn “Lion's Pride Inn” you don’t know until you run out to realize you
need to run
back in LOL.
And visa versa if I set it to: H Lion's Pride Inn and your cooldown on
Hearth
isn’t up and you need to run to Goldshire it wont self complete until you run
into
the Inn. You mat run pass the next quest you need.
Is there a way to set it up for both at same time Exp. H Lion's Pride Inn /
Goldshire
This is what I’ve been doing to make sure you run into in to make to
self-complete!

Goldshire is a bit of an exception to the rule, probably because it was one of
the
first zones. Almost every other inn is not it's own subzone, so complete by
subzone
name works fine.
Personally I'd probably do it like this... if the turnin is outside, just give
H Goldshire
If the turnin is inside the inn, give:
T Some Quest |N|In the Goldshire inn, hearth if your cooldown is up|
I'm guessing that in the whole guide there's only one or two turnins in the inn
after
a hearth, and there are more run back to town type of turnins.
Either way, I will be rolling a human to play thru this zone, just to help
clean up
some of the notes and coords. I'll try to keep a close eye on my hearth as
well, so
that we're not telling people to hearth when it's still in cooldown.

Hello Again!
I’m running into a problem setting this up please help J
Here’s the scenario if you find “Gold Pickup Schedule” you can start the
quest by
using it. You then turn it in to collect “Manhunt” complete it and turn it
in. This
work fine if you find “Gold Pickup Schedule” to start with. But if you
don’t
find “Gold Pickup Schedule” it will ask you to collect “Manhunt” and
well you cant

Now I tried this it works till I get to point that it should tell me pick
up “Manhunt” this is because when you use the “Gold Pickup Schedule”
|L|1307| it’s
not in your inventory anymore. And if you pick up “Manhunt” anyways it wont
tell you
to complete “Manhunt” exc...

off
the Gnolls| |O| |L|2223|
T Manhunt |N|If you found Gold Pickup Schedule off the Gnolls| |O| |L|2223|
Can I set it up somehow so it will tell you to pick up “Manhunt” only if
you
completed “The Collector” Quest? And then complete and turning
“Manhunt” in the same
way if you did “The Collector” or some other way.
This is not a chain quest of sorts you can only start the second “Manhunt”
if you
did “The Collector” or if someone shares it with you I think I’ll try to
test the
sharing part with someone soon.

You removed {A Bounty on Garrick Padfoot} by accidents I guess
In my opinion if you do the run up to Stormwind City at 5th level you’ll get
more
XP’s for the quest because their your level and Hearth back to Goldshire then
and
when your finished the eastern quests your hearth will be cooled down it’s a
longer
run from the logging camp then Jasperlode Mine. If you do the run up to
Stormwind
at 10+ level yopu get little xp’s for them.
Also in my opinion I’d do { Westbrook Garrison Needs Help!} right after you
turn in
{The Jasperlode Mine} to get the Quest {The Collector} so you can start
{Manhunt}.
So when you do {Princess Must Die!}{Manhunt}{Surena Caledon}{Red Linen Goods},
all
at the same Time. Otherwise you’ll have to kill the same mobs again if you
wait to
do {The Collector} after {Wanted: "Hogger"}

This whole zone is just a big mess. I've streamlined as much of it as I can,
I've
got a big commit pending here. I'm almost 10, at which point I'll be able to
test
out the last little bit and move on. You're trying to do every single quest in
the
zone, but sometimes it's just better to pass some up. Running back and forth
across
the zone and to SW just sucks as well. Like I said, I've streamlined it
somewhat,
and there's more on the way.
It's kinda stupid to try to streamline the class quests into the normal ones.
You
make classes that don't need to go over to this area suffer more. Just burn
thru the
zone, hit 10ish, then break off to do class quest, and get the fuck out of that
nasty
zone. That's how all the other starter guide work... start zone, class quests,
on to
teens zone.
Seriously, I've been playing for what, 3 years now, and never leveled in Elwynn
(I
hate humans so very much). Now that I have, I can say, it's VERY obvious that
this
is the first zone Blizzy made. It's a mess. Quests are all over the place,
you have
to run around a ton... mobs are a clusterfuck, sure the mines and murloc
villages are
a great idea, but trim out say 30% of the mobs and space them out better so
that you
don't get links on half your pulls. I died a good half dozen times here... I've
never died that much on a new toon. I'm never coming near this shitty zone
again!
Original comment by Tekkub

LOL Sorry to hear your having such a hard time in this zone I’ve also been
playing
for 3+ years and have leveled all the Horde classes and most Alliance Classes
to 60+
and to tell you the truth I just stared to write this human TG zone for you
because
I read somewhere you needed help with this zone. I agree with you, it a Fuck up
Zone. LOL My human Pally was leveled without even seeing the Zone near
Stormwind.
Did the Rez. quest and never returned.
I just started all the classes in the human zone, to test out this area for you
and
found like any other zone or classes, that soloing is easiest from Warlock
Hunter
Shaman Paladin Rouge Druid Priest Warrior Mage. Saying this I see you started
a
Mage to test this zone, this may be because you like playing Mages. I did this
zone
solo with all the human classes just this last couple weeks to test it for you
and
the darn Mage is a pane in my ass to solo with.
Just to let you know I like to play Warlocks Hunters and Paladins and found
that
play these classes in this zone was too easy and ran though in very fast. I
soloed
the entire zone with a Warlock including Hogger by 8 level. I had the hardiest
time
with the Mage.
You said it looks like I’m trying to do all the quest in the zone. Well ya
it’s the
only way to get to11th level without have to grind too much on all the same
Mobs.
It also gets you to Exalted in the area fast. The only Grinding I did is the
Gnolls
just to find the Collector Quest and if I had to get to 10th.
I’ll keep working on it. I’m doing Westfall and Redridge now. I haven’t
tried your
TG in a Instance yet I guess I’ll find out in VC.
Well it almost Xmas and I’ll be busy for a bit. I’ll get it done in the New
Year.
Have a good holiday season and great New Year too. ;-)

Well honestly, I don't intend for this guide to flow into Westfall and beyond,
it's
going to flow into Darkshore like the other guides do. Yea the Wetlands run is
a
minor pain, but after Elwynn I'm used to pain.
I've leveld a Mage before... I understand the differences in the class from say
a
mail wearer... but this level of death is absurd. I can accept that I take
damage
fast, I can't accept that half my kobold and murlock pulls brought 1-3 adds.

I use your Elwynn guide and changed it around almost a rewrite to meet levels
needed
to do some things and set it up to remove some running back to same places for
other
classes that don't need to run to SW 2 time until much later after the short
westfall run or do same mob later.
I know you busy fixing and looking over other peoples work so i sent you the 2
yours
and mine to look at and added notes in your to explain why i did this and to
let you
see that there are areas in your that cant be done because you ask to do this
in
chains quest and you didn't turn to first parts in yet.
I now you don't like human's lol "elwynn forest" because you said there is lots
of
running around but you don't need to run around so mutch if you look at my
Elwynn
run you will see its mutch easyer for all.
as for the others i just twicked your :-)

I understand what you're aiming for, but... well I don't like Elwynn :P We
don't
have to complete every quest in the zone, and dropping the second trip out to
the
logging camp helps a ton. Only a few classes need to go that way for their
class
quests... no point in sending everyone out there. Same thing goes with the run
up to
SW around lv6, it's not a vital thing to do at that level, so do it later.
I sat down with Meld and pulled in the changes I liked, and added your pally
class

OK lets agree to disagree ;-)
But you need to fix a big problem I don’t know if I explained it correctly
before
but here goes
It doesn’t matter if your 70th level or Human or not or any Class
You can’t accept and complete yet
*Line 133 {A Bounty on Murlocs |N|Back by the bridge|}
*Line 134 {C Bounty on Murlocs |N|Back up by the lake|}
Because you didn’t turn in yet it’s a chain quest
*Line 145 {T Deliver Thomas' Report)
So to do
{A Bounty on Murlocs |N|Back by the bridge|}
{C Bounty on Murlocs |N|Back up by the lake|}
You need to run back to Goldshire to turn in
T Deliver Thomas' Report
Then run back east to bridge to accept and complete
{A Bounty on Murlocs |N|Back by the bridge|}
{C Bounty on Murlocs |N|Back up by the lake|}
lets fix this first and will move on to other problems we have!

Make your changes and DON'T RE-DOWNLOAD until after you've posted your changes

When you post tell me THE REV YOU DOWNLOADED. The next time you go to edit

Ok I’m sorry I don't know what I’m doing wrong. This is what I do tell me
what I'm
doing wrong please.
I keep track of the changes that I think you should implement in a file of my
own.
Then when I finish the testing of it and it work fine and rolls easy without
running
around for no reason and check that the quest that I added don’t waste time
for the
XP gained. I then go to the Tour guild git site and download the latest file
Exp:
right now I see 13 Min. Shadowmoon no longer Aldor-specific I click on it. Then
I
click the Download right now I see TourGuide-
8a4a08abe9672f65e19f72760e6f4b8516e8c33f.zip
Now I delete my addon folder Tourguide and install the new one. I then open the
file
I need to change and add in or delete the line I changed. To make the file
different
then way I think I should be so you can see the differences> Them upload then
to you
and tell you the Rev exp: TourGuide-8a4a08abe9672f65e19f72760e6f4b8516e8c33f.zip
So this make changes to the latest changes you show on the git site. Is this
not the
way to do it? Sorry I'm not making it easier for you I do it like this to make
sure
I'm not telling you to make a change you may have already made.
Ok now I see that I found an improvement to let you know about.
In 23_24_Darkshore.lua we completed
Line 12 C Mathystra Relics
I see there is no mention of turning it in anywhere.
So I suggest that it should be added in.
Line 23 T Mathystra Relics |N|At Grove of the Ancients|
Replacing
Line 23 R Wildbend River
Then change line 24
line 24 T A Lost Master (Part 2)
To
line 24 T A Lost Master (Part 2) |N|In the cave to the south|
How do I let you know about this change I just downloaded
Shadowmoon no longer Aldor-specific 13min. old
Rev. TourGuide-8a4a08abe9672f65e19f72760e6f4b8516e8c33f.zip
And made this new change but I don’t know if your going to implement the last
improvement I sent you earlier I see that this file doesn’t have the earlier
changes
I sent in. Do I reenter the changes I did before or just send in these new
changes I
don’t want you to think I didn’t want the earlier changes you know what I
mean.

You either need to learn ow to use git (not exactly easy there, especially if
you've
never used SVN or the like), or you need to do it exactly as I said...
Purge folder, download (jot down rev), MAKE YOUR CHANGES, upload. Don't
redownload
and try to apply your changes over the newer rev, that's where you're screwing
it up.
This is what's happening...
You have rev a. You make changes to rev a. You download rev b, and try to
paste rev
a over it. You undo all changes made between a and b, then add your own
changes.
You tell me the changes are against b when they're really against a. I have to
take
time digging thru the history to find they were against a so as not to undo
changes
made after a. I get pissed off because you told me the wrong rev.
This is why I want you submitting diff files. If you copy your folder and then
make
a diff after your change stuff, it'll get ONLY THE CHANGES and not the whole
file.
This makes my life a million times easier because it won't undo other changes
unless
they change the exact same line... and even then it'll throw an error at me so
I can
manually resolve the conflict and use the change I want for that line.

"Southshore" should work as it is, unless the quest title has some space in it
or
some crap that's making it not match.
Git is very complicated, but a lot nicer that SVN once you know how to use it.
SVN
isn't too hard... just sit down and learn how to make a diff/patch file, that's
the
underlying mechanism that both systems run on... and the preferred way to submit
PATCHES to projects where you don't have write access to the repo.

Hello again do you not have anything between
33_35_Desolace.lua
and
38_40_Stranglethorn.lua
I'll start something for you but i'll check back soon to see if you have
something
for me to work with ;-)

35-38 has been a gap for a long time. I started testing the ally guides at ~40,
helping my partner catch up. So yea, there's a gap there. The new Dustwallow
stuff
should fit in nicely, look at the horde guide as a source, since it's a neutral
town
we can pull a lot of it from the existing guide there.
The only parts I removed from the Warlock stuff (I thought) were the non-lock
quests.
I see no reason for one class to do a whole bunch more quests than everyone else.
Besides, the rest of "The missing retard king.. er... Diplomat" will probably
fit
nicely into the dustwallow guide.
Must the player go to Ratchet at the end of Desolace, or can it be delayed
until later?

Ah I see, the lock quests don't lead thru Ratchet, so the player won't get the
FP,
which they're going to need later. I will adjust accordingly.

Ok maybe we got off on the wrong foot or maybe your tired of me asking too many
questions and making mistakes like uploading to wrong way but I’m learning
fast.
I’m not trying to make the Warlock do extra quest I’m just adding in the
logical
runs in as I test the Alliance warlock for you I’ll be adding in the other
classes
later and if they go in the same direction I’ll change it from Warlock only
to
everyone.
Having said this it only make sense that if you ask me to go from point A to C
and
back to A that if I can do B at same time why not do it!
If you send me to my Mothers house (Point A) so she can send me to the store 5
miles
away for milk (Point C) and on the way I know that on the way I’ll pass my
sister
house and if I pass the store a little I’ll find the bus stop. Even if you
just said
that you want me to go to my Mother’s house to do something for her I’m not
going to
just do that if I can get other stuff done at the same time.
So if I leave my mothers house and stop at my sister house to find out she also
want
milk. Then on the way to the store I see money on the ground, I’ll pick it up
now
(not leave it there to come back later and pick it up) after walking 5 miles to
buying the milk at the stone it easier to walk 1 more mile away from my mothers
and
sisters house to take the bus back then walk 5 miles all the way back and who
knows
I may need to go to the store again next week so now I now I can take the bus
there
instead of walking.
So I’m not going out of the way to do extra quest they are already in my path
why
not just do them and get the free XP’s and Gold.
