is there a way that we can create a templated header if we start creating more pages that we dont have to do the copy pasta each time of the css?

You were, I suspect, looking at the diff of the generated result; it's already templated.

I just added in a .gitattributes to suppress the diff of the docs/ directory (which is the generated site).
