Request: Add option to import/export settings. If possible bundled with an option to backup/restore via script.

Hi; I'm afraid that would most likely work erratically at best.

Thanks for reply. May I ask for what specific reasons?

Duti work mostly well but it's years old and when it stops working there will be no replacement.

I think between the two, the import is the painful one: what to do when the imported settings are not compatible because, for example, some apps are not installed on the system?

Understood. In this case though I'd display a (copy-able) message: "Following imports have been ignored because the associated applications do not exist on the target system."
