new perk idea to introduce a new way to weaponize Resolve
Guided by Faith:
Gain Melee Skill and Ranged Skill equal to your Resolve divided by twice your current Vision
The math:
The lowest that your Vision can go is 1 for melee and 2 for ranged or polearm-like attacks. This can mainly be achieved by stacking heavy Orc helmet layers.
A build that is stacking Resolve can usually be expected to hit 100 Resolve with Fortified Mind with the high end very well rolled brothers reaching up to 150.
So with this perk a build with 100 Resolve would gain 50 melee skill for close combat or 25 Melee/Ranged skill for Polearms and Close-Combat-Archer shenanigans.
A brother with Guided by Faith can stack invest almost every level-up in Resolve which you usually put into Melee Skill to reach a similar effectiveness in combat.
The Trade-off is one less perk point (or two with Fortified Mind) overall, very bad Vision and the need for specific gear/situations to maintain that Vision
I can see arguments that this perk may become oppressive and force a meta of resolve builds because 50 Melee skill sounds OP.
But I don't believe that this will be the case. It doesn't provide damage nor solves the Fatigue problem by itself especially with forcing a heavy helmet.
