Do you have a simple example of this working with asp.net core? the xml-rpc.net site is down, and the cached copy has information that doesn't seem applicable.

That's unfortunate. I only have a project using this library, but it's not open-source yet. I can redirect you to ftp://ftp.wayne.edu/ldp/en/XML-RPC-HOWTO/ar01s11.html for a quickstart for a sample xmlrpc client.
