Jake and I will put together a short tutorial video and have it to you for
review by the end of day today with a typed step by step overview of the video
points based on how the article currently is displayed on ClarkWP.
Link to article :
http://clarkwp.wordpress.com/2014/05/13/how-to-choose-tags-for-wordpress-posts/
After reviewing the article I noticed some technical and grammatical errors
that I believe should be addressed. Please take a look at the front view and
fix all spacing and punctuation. The first paragraph and intro into the article
is VERY confusing. Here is my suggestion to get the readers attention about
adding tags!
Current Intro: Tags, a word that does not truly show its power and limitless
potential, tagging a post properly can save your readers hours of
searching, they can also increase the sites traffic through search engines.
Example: Tags provide a useful way to group related posts together and quickly
tell a reader what a post is about. The most important aspect is that tags make
it possible for people to find your content.
In addition to, there are two different ways to add tags to a Post. I think the
approach here is great but realistically I guess I thought we were adding tags
via the tags module in a Post and based on the title: HOW TO CHOOSE TAGS FOR
WORDPRESS POSTS
When it comes to tutorials and how to, it should be VERY easy and short to
follow. Please consider revising the steps for accessing the tags module, they
are tooooooo looooonnnnggggg. In the video we will touch on how to do it for
the visual reader, but pictures of what you are explaining to look for is a
much better option then so many words. Also, step three is not valid because
when you enter tags from the left sidebar, the access to the tags module
appears on the left. When you access within a Post, it appears on the right.
Example: How to Manage Tags
Step One: Go to the Dashboard.
Step Two: On left hand side, click on Posts
Step Three: Below Posts, click on Tags
Step Four: Manage tags by selecting Edit below the Name
The second method for adding tags is important and however not examined in the
article. :( Please consider what approach is best for this article and make
changes if you agree.
Add Tags via the Tags Module in a Post
Step One: Go to the Dashboard
Step Two: Click on Posts
Step Three: Select either an existing Post or click Add New
Step Four: Locate tags module in the right sidebar; try scrolling down to find
the module.
Step Five: Click Add

@Stephanie: Excellent observations. I was just writing these same comments in
the grade comments for this assignment.
@Ahmed, I'm giving you full credit for the grade, but you MUST make the changes
as Stephanie has outlined. I'm trusting you both to see this through. When the
changes have been made, and Stephanie agrees with the post quality, please
reset this back to completed.
Thanks!

@ Lorelle- Great, thank you for your input.
Attached is a rough layout of using the tags module in a post view, as a
reference if your interested. Please disregard the video directions in
parentheses.
@Ahmed- Please let me know if you need any assistance. Who, in the group of
editors, is taking on the task of cleaning up text and code? Maybe before
completing we can have that person look it over for a fresh set of eyes?
If anyone needs to contact me: I am available at 971-277-0601 or via email

I had to make due with the instructions leading to the tag tab instead of posts
, but I would gladly change and fix the entire thing.

Wow, a lot of work to redo the entire thing; however I think it looks really
crisp. I made a few technical corrections but the post is still in pending
view. Unfortunately, The video will not be live until presented and approved by
Lorelle but can easily be added at a later time - stand by.
