Just want to be sure you understand what this article is asking. This is not
about how to choose tags, come up with the words, but about the basics of
WordPress taxonomy.
Thanks!

I think I have it figured out. Im focusing on how to set tags and what that
does to make certain posts interconnected, beyond the standard connection
achieved through categorization.
Am I on the right track?

Sorry for the delay in responding.
The goal is to keep this about the process of adding tags to WordPress posts.
You need to explain what the difference between tags and categories are,
demonstrate how to add tags to a post, how to edit tags to correct spelling,
etc., and the basics of WordPress taxonomy.
It would be nice to include a paragraph or two on the problems found in the URL
of categories when the category is a tag first. Here is a summary.
In WordPress, one table holds all the categories and tags, the taxonomy of
WordPress. In MySQL, when you add a field to a table, the name must be unique.
If you have a tag called restaurants, then you decide to add a category called
restaurants, the name already exists. So the URL/slug for the category becomes
restaurants-2. For those who like clean links for categories, the user has to
do the following:
1. Delete the tag for restaurant.
2. Edit the category slug for restaurant from restaurant-2 to restaurant. That
fixes it.
3. If the tag is still desired, which is appropriate, the tag must be added and
applied to posts where appropriate again.
I wish there was a way to have this happen automatically in WordPress. I call
it the dash-2 bug, but it is an issue with the database tables not specifically
WordPress, but it is because of how WordPress merged categories and tags
together into a single table instead of two.
Hopefully this helps and it isn't too late. Do the best you can. Thanks.

Hey there Hunter. It sounds pretty good. I am going to have it passed on to
Lorrelle for a quick look since she best understands what she explained and
wanted for you to explain in this article. Also I am not sure if when you put
a definition if you need it to be in a block quote or not. I do see that you
set it apart with a different color text. Let's see if she has any feed back.
One other thing your second picture needs to be set as attached.
Thanks,
jO

Definitions, if appropriate to highlight, maybe in a blockquote. Just an
emphasis design decision.
Jo, as mentioned in class, do not force color, design, or formatting in the
post area like setting something apart with colored text, not unless it is a
very small detail. It may get screwed up if we changed Themes, so be cautious
with that.
Hunter, I edited the last part of the article to help explain the dash 2 issue
with tags and categories. I know it is probably a bit over your head, but you
did a good job. I just clarified the details.
I fixed the image and cleaned the little things up. All good to go. Good job,
and thanks for trying to take on a much harder challenge to describe than you
were ready for. Much appreciated!
