Single Player or Server: Singleplayer

Patchouli is installed. Guide book is not showing up in JEI

Have you found any solution to getting the guide book?

https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/patchouli this book API mod be installed for the guide book to show up . once patchouli is installed, then unless a modpack changes a bunch of stuff there will be a default recipe with compressed cobblestone cgg
