"Exception in server tick loop" when placing Storage Network Root #355

Open Deo3560 opened 3 years ago

Deo3560 commented 3 years ago

Minecraft version & Mod Version: 1.15.2, SimpleStorageNetwork-1.15.2-1.0.2

Single player or Server: Singleplayer

Describe problem (what you were doing / what happened): I placed a Storage Network Root down and game crashes. When I try to rejoin I get an out of Memory warning and brings me back to splash screen. When I try to join again, it crashes again. I can delete Simple Storage Networks and I can rejoin my world, but until then I keep crashing. When I read the mod the blocks re-appear and I crash again. The only way to fix it is to NBTExplorer and remove the blocks or remove the mod, replace where the block was with another block and then re-add the mod, but when I place the block again, it crashes again. This makes the mod unusable because that is literally the main block in the mod...

It doesn't look like anyone else has these problems, so I figure it's a mod incompatibility. I just don't know which one.

Crash log (if any): crash-2021-03-17_18.03.25-server.txt

(If this is a suggestion and not a bug report, delete all this and just write your suggestion!)

I can confirm that this is an issue, I don't know what is causing it but I can elaborate. I'd add that I found that the game crashed whenever trying to place, or mine/remove the Storage Network Root block the game crashed. I can confirm that the mod itself is the issue because I disabled all mods except the Simple Storage Network mod and the game crashed when trying to either delete the block or place it. I also recall that on older versions of this mod there where no issues with the Storage Network Root block, whether it be in respect to placing or removing the block. I also noticed that when I placed the block, the block wasn't consumed and remained in my inventory. I also didn't experience this out of memory warning at all, so not sure what that is about but as of now the mod is unusable because as the earlier commenter stated it is the main block that is required to make everything work.

I'm playing with this through valhelsia and had the same experience. Had not placed anything from this mod but as soon as I put down the core it froze. Re-opened to two memory crashes (8 gigs allocated). Tried one more time for the hecks and it just loaded forever and never crashed (let it run for almost an hour). After removing the mod and clearing the items out while loading the map it worked fine.

I just wanted to follow up that this is also happening to me. I had to unfortunately remove the mod since I couldn't find the fix, even 10GB of RAM didn't make a difference. My crash log is attached. crash-2021-05-01_20.27.18-server.txt

I'd also like to add that I have 32 gigs of ram in my computer and this mod still causes my game to crash...
