Placing root block caused world corruption

Minecraft Version: 1.18.1

Forge Version: 1.18.1 - 39.0.59

Mod Version: 1.18.1-1.5.2

Single Player or Server: server

Describe problem (what you were doing; what happened; what should have happened): After crafting the root block i placed it in my house . The server instantly crashed . After logging back in , the chunk i placed it in was corrupt (empty hole) .

Happened to me too, any way of recovering the chunk without reverting to a backup?

removing the mod worked in recovering the bugged out chunk for me
