We (the Danish National Archives) are revising our preservation plan for spreadsheets and consider adopting XLSX or ODS as our preservation format for spreadsheets. In relation to this, we are analyzing our possibilities for validating those formats according to our validation requirements.
ODS have a validation tool for the standard called ODF Validator. This brings us far, but we also have other validation requirements not covered by this tool. Our ""headache"" relates to how can we get expertise on this subject and how can we cooperate with other archives on developing a validation tool?
