LINK ignored: apple-touch-startup-image #13

Although apple-touch-icon works, includeing <link 
rel="apple-touch-startup-image" 
href="/startup.png"> in the <HEAD> section should have image show during load 
time in iPhone 
OS 3.0+.  See

On iphone-universal projects this is ignored for some reason.  I can't figure 
out why.
