Have a look on DSD-FME, it decodes IV.

However after analyzing some parts of DSD-FME code, I'm a bit surprised because some functions are very, very similar to my private DSD code (same variables/functions name, same comment, same layout...) and I suspect this code has been stolen...

Its called copy and paste Louis. I recycled the functions already inside of dmr_sync.c to create new functions to handle other burst types, including the DMR PI Header, and that includes a lot of parts that aren't used but still have the same comments and so on.

I have no idea what you are referring to in regards to a private version, but if you suggest that anything is stolen, then may I please remind you of the license that the dmr_sync.c file has in its header.

Thank you for these explanations, I hadn't understood that you had done copy/paste from the public code, it's clearer now.

I indeed have a private version of DSD (slightly different from the one publicly available on GitHub) capable of decoding encrypted communications, but to avoid any problems with radio manufacturers this version is not publicly available (I do not sell it and I do not distribute it, this code is too sensitive...).

However, I regularly receive requests from people seeking to obtain this private version of DSD by various means, including hacking attempts.

When I saw the "ProcessDmrPIHeader" function and the similarities they had with my private code, I simply wondered where this code came from...

I end this message with my congratulations for DSD-FME which you have improved, on the other hand I could only recommend that you be careful with Motorola because your version decodes the Basic Privacy, which could get you in trouble if Motorola fell on it...
