[Suggestion] Means to Dim or Disable Lighting Effects During Daylight Conditions #35

I've been enjoying making configs for this mod, but I've found that lighting effects have a tendency to look garish in daylight. I'd love to be able to make them fade in and out with the competing sunlight for more survival-friendly use. Maybe I've missed something, but I haven't found a means to do so in the available documentation.

P.S. I noticed naturally generated light sources seem to stack the vanilla and colored light together, nuking their surroundings. Anything I can do to mitigate that?

To fix the stacking light sources, enter the command "/shimmer additive_blend false". This should stop color blow-out in most scenarios.
