Initially I was using the Isotope example that created a URL/hash string associated with each button/filter, but I couldn't get it to work right when there were multiple groups so I abandoned it.

Bringing it back would mean that:

You could bookmark to a particular button/filter/category and navigate directly to it
When you refresh the page, you won't be dumped back to the "Home" view

So, I think it's time to learn more javascript and smash it back in to the current deployment.
