Setting the *emulated* devices on both ports is not enough, you also need to
affect a
an *input* device (GAMECUBE #2 in your case) to Player 2 as well.
Is it the case ?
Also, please test with official builds ONLY, current SVN is still in
development and
not supposed to be debugged.

Confirmed, this is indeed a typo bug I added when modifying the input code in
current
SVN. This has been already fixed in my current copy (not commited yet) though...
