Top to bottom editor vs preview panes #493

Love your plugin for Wordpress.

Can we get the preview window below the Markdown preview window? Instead of side-by-side? Some people would like to have that as an option.

Is there a similar editor with this layout? I can't imagine what will it looks like, but I'm okay to have it added into WP Editor.md.

It will be better if you can provide some similar editor with this layout, thanks.

I don't know a markdown editor that does that but I drew a picture to describe the idea. I have limited horizontal space on my computer screen, so a preview below the markdown would work better for me. That is why I asked for this. Screenshot is below.

That makes sense, I guess you are using the monitor in vertical mode. In that case the horizontal space might be not enough to have the editor and the preview panel shown in horizontal. And I would tring to implement that feature in the future.

Before that happens, you could use WP Editor.md in this way:

  1. disable the previewing feature in WP Editor.md's settings panel.
  2. goes into the edit page of your WordPress admin, then clicking the preview button.
  3. drag the preview tab off the current window, and align them so they can be tiled horizontally like this:

It might solve your issue in a not elegant way, but it might works.
