Fantastic app, thank you.

It would be great if there was a way to select files for upload, instead of all. (Thumbnails would be ideal, but by date or name would work.)

LubikR commented 6 years ago

Thank you! This is really big enhacement. May be in the future...

floydbloke commented 5 years ago

I have now had a reasonably successful attempt at implementing this. I have submitted a pull request. :)

Hi there! I am very sorry but my camera (DSC-HX60V) seems to be gone. Actually I am not able to connect to any wifi, during the scan for wifi AP camera returns "System error" or camera freezes. Other funcionalities works fine :( I have try to reflash firmware, tried to reset camera, format SD card, with SD, without SD, another wifi router, but with no success. Actually I am not able to test new realases. The problem appeared before installing new release so I think that this is not connected to the new release (it is not possible to affect android by the application; may be this is a HW problem, don't know) I don't want send new release to other people before testing. If someone test this new release and confirm that it works I will prepare final one.

SynologyUploader-1.6.apk.zip

floydbloke commented 5 years ago

Sorry to hear your camera is playing up. For what it's worth, I developed and tested my version using an A6000 (ILCE-6000).

satbir7 commented 3 years ago

@floydbloke Would you be able to share your updated APK?

I tried to use the ver 1.6 but I get the Server error.

Also does it have a way of comparing the files already copied, so that it will only copy the new files?

Thanks, Satbir

floydbloke commented 3 years ago

@satbir7 Try downloading it from here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nHmhKcRy7Zye0keRgMlr71FQVaCWtIB6/view?usp=sharing That is just the APK, not the source code. You should be bale to upload that directly to the camera with the pmca-gui app I hope it's the correct and working version, it has been a while since I looked at it. Let me know how you get on. Unfortunately it doesn't check if the file already exists, and it terminates rather ungracefully if there is a duplicate. I've moved onto other projects but may come back to this in the future some time to try and rectify it.

I finally got a chance to install it, but it failed as shown in the screenshot.

Thanks, Satbir

TFas commented 3 years ago

Hi @all,

I was hopng to install this uploader as well but I get the very same faults. I'm using a 6300 model but while installing, I get the same as Satbir. On my "C:..." drive the mentioned folders do not exist. what are we doing wrong?

Best

Tfas

floydbloke commented 3 years ago

@satbir7 @TFas Apologies folks, the APK I linked to did indeed cause an error when trying to install. (I have now deleted that one.) Please try the one located here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zLL67priubQfmXW4ycLQivqiHbOOHSAW/view?usp=sharing

@ProfessorDomme Sorry late reply. Yes OpenMemories works on the A6300 (but not on the A6100, A6400 and A6600). Not sure what's going with the link, but if you copy and paste into your browser rather than click it will take you to the download.

ProfessorDomme commented 3 years ago

Okay thank you for the reply!

breiflo commented 2 years ago

Hey @floydbloke the link to the apk is unfortunately no longer working. Could you maybe provide it again? I only get a server error with version 1.5. Thanks!

hipsi commented 2 years ago

Just dropping a comment here to say that I tried the app just after updating my firmware to 2.01 and I too have the issue where it won't find any AP's. I don't know if this is related to 2.01 however because I didn't try it before updating.

Hope someone is still reading this threat... What is the standard PORT used to upload to Synology? Need to be configured in settings on the camera, tried 21 but that crashed the app, other portnumbers fail too with different error codes.

5001 for http and 5001 for https

eugenekoiner commented 9 months ago

Hi floydbloke! Can you help me pls? what should i enter in Adress or IP field? If i enter Syno IP:5000 it respond OK for settings saving but it gives me an error null when trying to copy. If i'm entering SynoAdress.quickconnect.to:5001 the camera freezes forever when i'm pressing Check it!

LubikR commented 9 months ago

Hi, @eugenekoiner , may be this is related to IP translation / NAT. Try it on local Synology network with local IP, if it is possible. I never try it with "cloud" IP.
