Discuss CurateND API's

We will meet with Don to talk about the API's CurateND offers in preparation for the work on fixity.

We met with Don to discuss

1. our requirements for CurateND
2. how a fixity checker would work with CurateND
3. mapping of objects between CurateND and OSF.

Requirements gathered from the meeting:

• Need way for person to use PresQT an an authenticated way with CurateND
• Need ability to retrieve a single file
• Need ability to retrieve all the files in a single item (probably as a zip file or a bagit file, but the format is not part of the requirement)
• Need ability to retrieve a list of items
• Need ability to search (using the visibility of the authenticated user). Kinds of searches: boolean combinations of:
  • All items I can edit (even if via a group I belong to)
  • All items I deposited
  • All items having a given type
  • by DOI
  • by file hash
  • uploaded before/after a given date
• Get information about an item: metadata, list of files, dates file was uploaded, revision history
• Request a fixity check for an item
• Deposit a single item
• Add a file to existing item
• Update data for a single item
• Deposit a group of items

We also agreed that the requirements do not need to be delivered all at once.

I'll work on a spec for the search and download requirements to begin with.

@dbrower It was called out in sprint planning 2/15 to have these broken into milestones in github and then those could be linked to other dependencies. Especially, if the API could be implemented incrementally with some features added as we go as you indicated (e.g., start with just 1-2 API calls). Even if not all coming soon, will be good to have others on the list for implementation later.
