Mod fails to load in Fabric 1.16.5 #10

When I try to load version 1.3.1 of this mod, Minecraft Fabric opens but stays as a background process. It appears no one else has this issue. I suspect that this mod is incompatible with macOS, but I can't confirm this.

Computer specs: Model: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) Processor: 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 Graphics: Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB Operating System: macOS Monterey 12.4 Beta Game specs: Fabric Version: 0.13.3 for Minecraft 1.16.5 Minecraft Version: 1.16.5

this exact same thing is happening to me on my macbook.
