Using this extension affects which tab is selected when a tab is closed. I'm not sure if that is by design or an unintended consequence.

I think this is a direct consequence of Issue #5 ... a different definition of new tab.

It might, I am not quite sure what this issue is, but if you think this was connected to the #5 and we have closed it, I think we can close this one too? @Gitoffthelawn
