Hello, I would like to help to translate the app to Russian language. I am not really proficient in coding, but If it's similar process to other gnome apps I would love to contribute.
Welcome, Alexeyfdv! Let me show you how to start!
https://crowdin.com/project/qownnotes/ru On this page you will find bars, where blue means translated but not proofread, and green means translated AND proofread. White bars signalise that there are segments which are not translated.
Check out this page for a brief introduction: https://www.qownnotes.org/contributing/translation.html
Some segments we don't translate in the SRC / Documentation:
Please ask again, if there is something left unclear. Have a great time working!
Hello, thanks for the feedback, but it doesn't look like the bible app translation page. That's must be a mistake or something.
The process should be about the same as regular Gnome applications. I realize that there are likely a few problems with text not being able to be translated in the current state. I will try to fix these problems by the time before I make another release. The application supports multiple different translation files. Those are managed separately because Bible translations are actually copyrighted. That copyright makes it hard to distribute the app with those translations.
Sorry but we aren't in Bible apps here. How can I help?
I would like to chime in that I will gladly help out by translating the app to Dutch if translation support gets implemented. 🙂
Hi, that sounds great? What do you mean by „ translation support gets implemented“? Best regards,Amy

Hi, please let me know, when you've created a Crowdin.com account, we will then assign you the role of the proofreader for Dutch, so you can also overwrite existing translations. Please do not delete the existing translations but simply suggest your translation, so if we don't agree with it, we'll still have the old ones.

Dutch is fully translated and implemented, and the documentation is online in Dutch as well, but you're free to proofread and correct it as a native speaker, we appreciate your work.
All you need is a Crowdin.com account and then we can assign you the project as a proofreader.

Same as above, but Russian is not yet fully translated so there's still a lot of work to do.
Hello, @alexeyfdv and @Vistaus I think the python code is capable of translation now. The method to do so is the same as about any other Gnome application. There are about 11 string to be translated. Some strings are translated by libadwaita since that is a library that this Bible app uses. Let me know if there is anything more I can help with to move this forwards.
