Deep Mob Learning #1

Apparently this is the mod-suggestions tab so here I go,

I think you should use Deep Mob Learning in favor of Woot, or use both (i prefer the former)

Woot sucks, Deep Mob Learning doesnt: Heres why::::::

Deep Mob Learning is simpler and more balanced. It doesnt require huge structures and has a much more balanced method of obtaining mob drops. You must level up a mob "card" in order to get it to a higher level. You can do this by using it a ton in the Simulation Chamber, which takes 5 years, or you can defeat a bunch of mobs of that type to level it up. After its leveled up, it will be put in the chamber where it will have a CHANCE of dropping loot from the mob. If it succeeds, you will get a "Pristine Matter" of that mob that can go into a Loot Fabricator to make the mob drops. You can only pick one type of loot from each matter, but the matter gives a large amount of loot, like 8 wither skeleton skulls from a wither skeleton matter or 64 bones from a skeleton matter. (This is balanced because it takes time to level up the mob card, which increases the chances of it dropping a pristine matter. Max it can be is 42%) These machines cannot be made to be faster or drop better loot. {They also drop a different kind of matter that can be used in crafting recipes and can be right clicked to give experience)

Meanwhile WOOT is Overpowered. The obnoxiously large structure can be upgraded to simulate 8 mobs being spawned in every 2 seconds, slain with a looting 3 sword and can give you 80% of the experience. It can even give you life essence, making Blood magic that much easier. Not balanced if you asked me.

Deep Mob Learning is a balanced means of simulating mob spawning to make sure players dont lagg the server with large scale mob farms, Woot is an overpowered means of simulating mob spawning. Therefore, Deep Mob Learning > Woot

I agree with this one

I also heard that the reason it was rejected was because you cannot use modded mobs with it. You can totally add custom mobs in the config file. If this is the the gripe with this mod, you can add mobs to fix that issue. Sky Factory 4 has a great example with their Pink Slime

@RobinNightWing First and foremost, I apologize for the late answer. I have considered your proposal and I agree that DML is much superior to woot. We will be looking into the technical aspect of it and see if we can get it to play nice with modded mobs and extra mob drops added by the mods like reliquary. But from what I've experienced before DML was not automatically detecting all drops as woot would. Therefore we decided woot was the go-to mod for mob farming. As I have mentioned above, we will be looking into the plausibility of adding every single mob drop manually. But as you can probably guess that's a lot of work with the number of mobs and added drops we have.

I will try my very best to have this instead of woot. Hopefully, we will have this instead of woot.
