A normal cow life span is around 20 years.

In summary: all cows in the diary industry die somewhere between hours or 4 years at most.

1/3 of the food from 1st world nations is wasted. That waste is enough to end world hunger. Not feeding cows as part of the industry would provide a huge surplus of food.
