Preview characters need to be unique for ASCII art to work.

Invalid light show preview characters (they conflict with ANSI color codes):

• /
• ;
• [
• Any number
• Any lowercase letter

Use lines to outline where the light show will be (for example, a house). This website provides great results:

For the ASCII art preview colors, use bright ANSI colors. Otherwise it's hard to see. For line preview colors, use normal non-bright ANSI colors.
