GRUB 2 entries:

Nvidia = modprobe.blacklist=nvidia,nvidia_drm,nvidia_modeset,nvidia_uvm
Nouveau = modprobe.blacklist=nouveau,nv,nvidiafb,rivafb,rivatv,uvcvideo

This helps to prevent crashes from the open source Nouveau driver by disabling it, allows for power saving by not using the Nvidia card, and by disabling all of them tools such as nvidia-xrun and nvidia-xrun-pm work properly.

For newer NVIDIA cards and drivers, the i2c-nvidia-gpu proprietary module also needs to be blacklisted.
