Bcachefs has a lot of issues right now. However, if they can all be addressed, I would like to use Bcachefs for winesapOS instead of Btrfs. The biggest feature it provides for winesapOS is the ability to use a cache drive (useful when running the OS via USB and an internal NVMe drive is available). I originally wanted to use ZFS but there are too many issues with using it for a root partition when it is an out-of-tree kernel driver.
At least all of these issues need to be addressed first:
[ ] 3 or more maintainers needed for Bcachefs. For a short time, there were 2 but it is now down to just Kent again.
[ ] archinstall needs to support Bcachefs. This allows Bcachefs to be tested on more Arch Linux based Linux distributions meaning more testing and fixing can happen.
