I have an Issue with my Thinkpad X200 that seems to be specific to LARBS since on non-larbs systems this doesn't occur. When I plug my thinkpad to its ultrabase the external keyboard and mouse go inactive for 5 seconds. Then you need to press a random key to activate them, but they go to sleep again for 5 seconds. This is quite annoying. The only way I have managed to temporarily fix this is by unplugging and plugging again the keyboard and mouse to the dock. That solves the issue, except your xset settings are reset to default.
