If you review the changelogs for both st and Luke's repo, you'll see that any significant updates—such as the buffer overflow fix for handling long composed input (introduced in version 0.9)—have also been applied here.

If there's a particular update you'd like to include, you're always welcome to fork this repo and implement it yourself. And just a reminder: even if some parts are outdated, there's no need to fix what's not broken :)
