"Soundflower is Not Installed!!" 10.5.8 #52

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installing 1.5.1
2. Attempting to run Soundflowerbed
3. Attempting to change sound prefs to Soundflower

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I cannot find that Soundflower has been installed, but Soundflowerbed is.
When clicking on Soundflowerbed, at the top of the menu it says (grayed
out) "Soundflower is Not Installed!!"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.5.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.

I was running OS X 10.5.6 and Soundflower worked without a hitch. I was
using a Dell Vostro A90 with OS X installed using the DellEFI method. I
updated to 10.5.8 and am now using the Netbook Installer, rather than
DellEFI. Soundflower will not install with my current setup. I'm not sure
if this is causing the problem, but I wanted to provide the information.

More info to add.

The contents of my /Applications/Soundflower folder are:

License.txt
ReadMe.rtf
Soundflowerbed README.rtf
Soundflowerbed.app
Uninstall Soundflower.scpt

There is no Soundflower.app. The installer runs without error and both
Soundflower
and Soundflowerbed are checked to be installed, but no Soundflower.app gets
installed.

Please disregard this report. There is not an issue with Soundflower. The
problem
was, as I suspected, an issue with Netbook Installer. The developer has
accepted it
and a fix will be coming soon.

I too have the same issues reported above - I've made multiple attempts to
install Soundflower (1.5.1). The
installer seems to work fine, but Spotlight does not find Soundflower. I do get
Soundflowerbed, however. When
that app is run, it also reports that Soundflower in not installed! Any advice
would be much appreciated! - 1.9
