new to this and dont know what im doing wrong

i was following a guide to install to my old 3ds, it stated that i need the boot.firm and boot.3dsx files however they do not seem to be present in any of the folders i was told to download, my 3ds just shuts off when i hit the power button which the guide says i need the boot.firm file to fix
