How do you save an HDR file not an LDR file? #278

How do you save an HDR itself not an LDR version. How do you save a .hdr or .exr file. In v2.6.0 on windows 10, I cannot find any way to do that. Surely that most basic of functions must exist in the program. The "Save as..." drop-down only includes saving a LDR version.

You must select the hdr image to save it.

Thank you for your reply fcomida! I am sorry to be so clueless, but where -- on what screen, menu, or drop down can the HDR image be selected?

fcomida commented 7 months ago

It's the one with the histogram on top, created through the wizard or loaded from an .exr, .hdr file pic-window-231113-1813-13

Excellent! Thank you. That works.

BTW, I am an ECE Prof. at Vanderbilt University. In one of the labs for my image processing course, I have the students download the program and use it to tonemap into LDR, an HDR image they create with their own code in matlab. This works fine for the students who use windows. But I cannot find a mac binary for v 2.6.x. Do you happen to know where I might find one for the students who use macs?

There are two .dmg on sourceforge for version 2.6.0.
