I'd pay money, seriously.

Hopefully someone can update the source code and recompile it.

The problem is not the source code, it's actually 1-2 lines of simple terminal commands of copying font files to their proper places – the problem is the hacked font files. It's not clear what and how was modified in them. :(

TinkerTool can change the typography, has anyone tried it?

FiraSystemFontReplacement is a similar project to this one and has the same problems as us, maybe we could join forces. https://github.com/jenskutilek/FiraSystemFontReplacement

Here they propose a partial solution https://github.com/jenskutilek/FiraSystemFontReplacement/issues/53

I will pay for it :)

This seems to only change "default font for apps to choose" (to offer for use?), not system UI font.

I've bid farewell to MacOS after Big Sur destroyed 2 2015 MBP 15" machines. And by destroyed, I mean totally fried everything, battery, motherboard, memory, ssds, everything. So I'm now happily running on open sourced Linux Mint distro and do not miss a thing! I hadn't use any of Apple's native apps anyway. Good luck with jail-breaking proprietary kneejerk spyware funded by the NSA :) I'm done.

I’ve cycled between Mojave, Catalina and Big Sur, all twice over the past 2 years and Big Sur is a whale on my 2014 15”.

Catalina was okay, but Mojave still runs the best

That's a shame. But this is the first time I have heard such things.
