Unable to put JEI in cheat mode #821

Describe the Bug

With this modpack, despite editing the .ini and .toml config files for JEI, I cannot get it to enter cheat mode by any means. Using the normal in-game keybind to do so simply opens the config editing mod screen, and it shows it is not loading the configs at all.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Start game 2.Open inventory
  2. Try enabling JEI cheat mode; does not work, opens config mod screen and says config files not loaded 4: Close game, open game instance folder, navigate to config folder
  3. edit jei-client.ini and jei-client.toml files to enable cheat mode and save files
  4. Run game again; no changes. ...

This definitely sounds like an issue with JEI itself.

Update the mod, if it still doesn’t work you should report it to them.
